For Energy Code compliance, the light Fixture Schedule should include a subtotal of watts for each fixture type, and a total of watts for all the fixtures on the posted schedule. That will help expedite the Lighting Power Density calculations required for Energy Code Compliance.

        Hi David,

Code officials that review Energy Codes are interested in Watts per square Foot. With most projects, if the simple aritmetic is shown to the code official, such as the subtotal of each light fixture watts, total project watts, project square feet, and calculated light power density along with energy code light power density limit then no further requests for compliance are given. On 10% of the projects, the officials agree we have compliance but they still want the Comcheck for their files.

What energy codes in particular are you trying to comply with? We have some ideas for more complete solutions to the energy code problem that might be better than just a total watts field.

For example, a lot of states use ComCheck, so there's the idea of exporting everything to that format:

Similar export features, if they are possible, is something we are a little more interested in for the future.
