Design Master Wish List
The current releases are DM Electrical RT 1.4, DM Electrical 8.6, DM HVAC 7.3, and DM Plumbing 4.1. We are not adding new features to these releases.
The next releases will be DM Electrical RT 2.0, DM Electrical 8.7, DM HVAC 7.4, and DM Plumbing 4.2 We are actively working on these release and using this wishlist to guide which features we implement. Features marked as "Planned" will be available in these releases.

One-Line Export to Drafting Views
If there was a way to have the export of one line diagrams go to drafting views instead of populating external dwgs?
19 votesNever say never. We are implementing one-line diagrams in drafting views for the next release.

This feature will be included in the next release. The connections will happen on the one-line diagram rather than in the “Panel Edit” command. It should accomplish the same goal.

Outdoor point-by-point calculations
Add outdoor point-by-point calculations for parking lot lighting.

Indoor point-by-point calculations
Add indoor point-by-point lighting calculations.

Upsize wire of branch circuits based on voltage drop
have the branch circuits upsize wire based on the voltage drop or have a setting similar to what we have in AutoCAD.

ComCheck Export For Revit
I would like to export from Revit to import into ComCheck similar to the AutoCAD version of Design Master Electrical

Swap circuits in Revit
Be able to swap circuits in Revit like you can using the "Move Circuit" command in DM Electrical for AutoCAD.

Be able to add disconnects to equipment so they work similar to Design Master Electrical in AutoCAD
We need a way to link two family instances together so that when you update one of the instances it updates the other.

Specify fault at upstream device
Be able to specify the fault at the upstream device, rather than at the current device. This feature would be useful when you want to specify the fault at the utility transformer but it is not included in the Revit model.

Adjust Feeders and branch circuit sizing based on derating
Adjust the wire size of feeders and branch circuits based on derating. This calculation needs to account for Ambient Temperature Correction Factors, Adjustment Factors and conduits on a roof (even though NEC 2017 eliminated this one). For example, there is an option in DME RT feeder sizing that asks about a double neutral. If we are acknowledging we need a double neutral, it should be understood the neutral is a current carrying conductor and should adjust the wire size and conduit size per the NEC.
6 votesWire size derating will be included in the next release.

Be able to create a panel schedule for existing loads not in model
I do a lot of remodel work and it would be nice to be able to fill out a panel schedule with existing load data from a hard copy of an existing panel schedule without have to actually put the loads in the model and then circuiting them.
4 votesI won’t say never, but this feature would be quite difficult currently. We let Revit handle all the loads in the project. It really needs to be handled by Autodesk directly rather than by us.

Add "Panel Neutral" in Revit MEP
Add "Panel Neutral" as a parameter to panels in Revit MEP.
Options for neutral would be:
50%
100%
133%
200%
NoneThis value would be a shared parameter for scheduling purposes. It would not be used in any calculations.

Ability to add multiple set of conductor in a single conduit
Example:
For 400A feeder:
(2) 3"C, 3-250kcmil AL, 250kcmil AL N, #1 AL G
(1) 4"C, 6-400kcmil AL, 2-400kcmil AL N, #1 AL GInstead of each set take (1) conduit, would be good to get multiple set into a single conduit. This is mainly because installing (1) 4" conduit is cheaper than (2) 3" conduits.

Automatically generate one-line diagram in Revit based on distribution system.
Automation is a must! It's all about efficiency to allow more time to focus on aesthetics and functionality, the things that really matter to clients.
I would not see this as a reverse workflow. Many times I will place panels in the model prior to drafting a one-line.

Individual Customization Settings Import/Export
At times I just want to push some changes I made, say to the wire ampacities, to our template from a project. However, I am always concerned that other settings my be incidentally changed since the import/export is all or nothing.
Providing a dialog to select what gets imported/exported or providing import/export in the individual dialogs would be helpful. I think the former would be preferred.

Room Names in Circuit Description
Provide an option for Room Names analogous to the "Conduit location" Option. Also consider other customization:
-Custom Room prefix - e.g. RM
-Option to include/exclude Name - e.g., RM 120
-Option to include/exclude Number - e.g., RM FIRE RISERRoom Names Location:
->Start of Circuit Description
->End of Circuit DescriptionCurrently the room names always go at the end, just like OOTB Revit. Having the option to put the room at the start would allow for better scheduling for when the intent is for circuits to be organized by room, like so:
